I pulled out my network cable yesterday, but let myself get distracted
with phone and laptop. (I am proud of some zinger commentary I got off
in the Eliezerfic server.)

I have plans to see Father on Sunday evening. I want to get some solid
momentum tonight, and treat tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday-before-17
as serious heads-down workdays. The phone should go off after I watch
teevee tonight (there's a new Lower Decks, and I'm enjoying the
Hansonian black comedy Avenue 5); it's too dangerous.

 Jessica mentioned talking with someone about me writing to Yudkowsky and Alexander requesting that they clarify the category boundary thing. This person described having a sense that I should have known that wouldn't work—because of the politics involved, not because I wasn't right. I thought Jessica's takeaway was very poignant:
