dawdling check in ...

Okay, even with the network cable out, it looks like it's easy to
dawdle. (Either by just hanging out and thinking, or by looking at
paper books: Hans Moravec and Bill Amend as a reminder that I Love the
'90s.) To actually make this weekend retreat meaningful, I guess I'm
going to have to resort to the crutch of a timer?
