blogmistress ones.

I'm worried that a third party looking at this might think I'm not
earning my scholar–aristocrat status. (There has to be some form of
accountability and justice, even if it's not to a boss.) Better prove
'em wrong!

check in Twitter strike draft
The other month, I was thinking of preparing a more optimized Twitter
attack on Yudkowsky. After a brief interaction with him at Less
Online, I'm thinking I'll prioritize memoir pt. 5 instead, but when
the time comes, this work can be refashioned as Twitter promotion for
pt. 5.

drafting "Virginia Prince and the Hazards"
(This is for a school presentation; I don't know if it's really worth
repurposing for the blog, but it felt right to compose in the blog
repository, not least because I don't do non-blog "word processing"
these days.)

I'm not happy with my motivation this week—it looks like I'm going to
miss the framerule for publishing on Saturday! I don't want to rush
it—I want to be absolutely comfortable that what I'm doing is
rock-solid. Still disappointing. (And then I'll catch up with
everything I've been putting off in March?)

memoir: pt. 3 final FINAL for real FINAL revisions.docx
I was feeling anxious about publishing after my walk with Anna this
morning, so I did another read-through, and I feel a lot better
now. Perhaps it's not so much that the changes I made are necessary
and the post would be bad without them, but I needed a recent final
readthrough in my head in order to feel confident that pulling the
trigger is the right choice.
I don't want to pull the trigger now because it's nighttime and I
don't want to be wired checking for comments, but I'm ready for the
morning.

"Zevi's Choice" was never a good title. This one alludes to a
well-known meme, while reflecting the despair of the "Death With
Dignity" era (and my personal despair in the "Challenges" era).

I don't want to render the ToC because it's a hideous <ul> in the
absence of more specific CSS (which would not be a good use of my time
today), but at least this gets me autogenerated IDs on the h3s?—which
are nice.

memoir: pt. 3 section headers
If both Said (private correspondence) and Ray
(https://www.greaterwrong.com/posts/ZjXtjRQaD2b4PAser/a-hill-of-validity-in-defense-of-meaning/comment/Lmhum2tXLXzmbKvm5)
agree that I need section headers, then I probably need section
headers.
I was feeling reluctant about it, but after doing it, I agree that
this is a lot better.
I have mixed feelings about giving the "Why are you a boy?" anecdote
the prominence of its own section. (I wanted it to be subtle
foreshadowing, but if it gets its own section, then it's blantant
foreshadowing, which I choose to lampshade with a Suspiciously
Specific Denial.)
I'm not sure where the defaults were inherited from, but <h2> was too
big and <h3> was too small, so I edit the CSS to make <h3> bigger.
(Ideally, the titles would be anchor links ... do I need to write a
Pelican patch or plugin for that?)

I was confused why this apparently didn't publish—that is, why it
didn't appear at the newest post after `git push`ing. This is what I
get for letting it rot in drafts for decades of ever (two years).
