"Scattered ..." draft: swap in a sharper epigraph

The Mulan quote risks falling into the "anti-identity-politics
identity politics" trap; this one is more situation specific and
having the epigraph represent the attitude that I'm wary of shows
self-awareness. (I would hope that even people who don't like me
should be able to appreciate my blog from a "villain protagonist"
æsthetic perspective.)
